Description

New urban redevelopment project of the “Giardino del Duca” in the Royal Gardens of Turin, completely refurbished, from the floors to the furnishings.

Metal.Car. has created for the renewal of Royal Gardens, various elements of street furniture including:

  • Planters
  • Benches
  • Fire hydrant covers
  • Baskets
  • Lighting bollards
  • Trapdoor
  • Driveway Grill
  • Corten blades

One of the new features concerns not only the design but also the technological aspect: the planters will be able to play music through hidden speakers and, above all, they will contain LED spotlights to illuminate the facades of the buildings.

Work on this vast area began in the sixteenth century, by order of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy. At the end of the 17th century and then in the last two decades of the 19th century, further interventions enriched the gardens' profile. However, in recent decades, this profile has undergone further restoration efforts.
